What we do

Since 1989 Coordinadora promotes the work of social entities, therefore, the creation of the network is a key part of the development of the projects we carry out.

These projects are structured based on consolidated programs in the more than 30 years in which we have been working to and for Children, Youth and families.

Childhood Programs

The experience of years of work of all the social entities of the Coordinator network in the district, leads us to think that the rupture or weakening of one of the fibers of the circle of risk and / or social exclusion of childhood, favors the rupture of that circle and it is possible.

This is how this project was born, in order to help break this circle of risk and / or social exclusion of the children of Puente and Villa de Vallecas, through an intervention that manages to break one of the fibers of the circle: that of experiences destructuring in free time. It is a proposal of alternative and motivating activities so that the children and youth of the district neighborhoods can expand their horizons within the framework of the use of free time. The project has the backed-up experience of more than thirty years of continuous intervention in the districts.

Adolescence and Youth Programs

The reality of the districts where Coordinadora carries out its activity is demanding greater social sensitivity for the processes that create social exclusion. The torn situations experienced by a significant number of adolescents and young people (situations of defenselessness, lack of financial resources, emotional deficiencies, poor schooling, unemployment …) demand a continued effort to create areas of growth, socialization and a positive relationship with the environment. Specific responses make real sense only in the context of coordinated and continuous actions.

This is how the Adolescents and Youth project was born, in order to help break this circle of risk and / or social exclusion in the youth of Puente, Villa de Vallecas and Retiro, through an intervention that manages to undo one of the fibers of the circle: that of destructuring experiences in free time. This project is a proposal for alternative and motivating activities so that young people in the district’s neighborhoods can expand their horizons within the framework of the use of free time through projective participation where they become active actors in their growth.

Family Programs

Intervention in family spaces requires a special sensitivity that allows us to be attentive to the diversity of family environments and, above all, to consider the family in all its aspects. The entire program is developed in connection and coordination with the interventions that are being developed by the Social Services and other agents present in the district.

The Program provides for intervention with families from a personalized setting. For families that need special attention, we work on a Personalized Intervention Plan that, from an adequate study of reality, proposes some objectives to be achieved. To develop these objectives, a social and health intervention is proposed, with home visits, meetings at the entities’ premises, creation of training and leisure spaces …

To complete the training, group meeting spaces are established where collective dynamics are used such as parents’ school, creative workshops, cultural outings, …

Volunteer Programs

Coordinadora is a social entity supported by volunteers. We carry out various programs with the idea of promoting volunteering. We understand volunteering as a personal, active, and committed involvement. People who volunteer are key to transmitting values and raising awareness in society. For all these reasons, our programs focus on raising awareness, training, and including volunteers in social projects.

You can participate in the programs that are underway in leisure and free time, educational compensation, family care … or you can support us in tasks that you know and know how to do: management, IT, communication and press, social networks, small arrangements … Any collaboration is welcome. You just need to be a coherent person, with critical and reflective capacity, capable of assuming a serious commitment and with a certain duration.

Training

Among the objectives of the Coordinator is to offer training to people who work education in their free time.
From the training area, annual programming is carried out where courses are planned, coordinated, developed, and evaluated. In these courses we train people in the field of education and management to carry out their activities within the socio-educational field in the best possible way.

Association Attention

Coordinadora is a network of entities, a reference space for reflection and the development of programs and strategies for social transformation, based on the socio-educational intervention carried out from the social projects of the entities that comprise it. Coordinadora considers that the development of each of the organizations in the network benefits the rest and therefore all of them.

In this sense, the network provides support (logistics, training, advice, financing, methodologies …), meeting and participation spaces, while contributing to the generation of a shared message about the rights of children and youth, mainly of that which is in a situation of social vulnerability.

Providing opportunities and spaces to the network for participation, advice, resources, activities, training, and representation.
